This dinosaur of an Onkyo (CP-1130 F), I'm guessing early 80's build, has been floating around my parents, my and my brothers house. Finally decided to make an actual rig for the garage with it.

Just today I picked up this early 70's cabinet from my parents and got all their, and my, LP's from the loft to start going through and organizing them and seeing what's in there. I'm guessing some pretty old LPs that my parents have held on to for quite a long time.

Found a new pair of Polk Monitor 40 series II for $99 which should arrive Friday. Hoping by the weekend it's up and running...

I like that album cabinet too.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Fun project - Every space needs a system, that's my philosophy!

One brief caution - consider relocating the records in periods of severe temperatures? Not sure about cold effects, but I think records might be at risk for warping in my garage in the summer time.

I ordered a needle from Needle Doctor, got in installed and then realized the counter weight on the back of the arm is broken off. Basically, the turntable is useless. Returning the needle and looking for a turntable now....

    Hahaha, that was awesome, Ron.
I'd have loved to have seen your reaction at that realization. No doubt I'd have been dying laughing B)
