@EndersShadow I appreciate that offer, sent you a PM. I'm kind of stuck here in Louisville for 5-6 more weeks due to losing my license because of excessive speed. Got me on the way home from LASF doing over 107 about 25 miles from home...rotten bastages :/

@kharp1: If you end up buying the amp, but would like some help carting it back to KY, I will be in Chicago on Oct 21st if it would help for me to mule the amp from Chicago to Indy for you Kerry.

Assuming @TonyB is ok with that.

No problem with it on my end.

Butler 2250 amp, a hybrid design with 6sn7gt's in it, not rollable as they are soldered in...

    heh, heh, heh...
    sure they are...
    :)

In seriousness, best of luck with the sale, sir.

Not that it makes a big difference. While i was checking out the amp, the web site states they are 6SL7 tubes instead if 6SN7.
Now maybe your generation if amp is 6SN7 and the new generation is 6SL7

Sorry to hear of the news Tony if I had room for them I would buy em and hold them for you until a latter time the Legacy's. Hmmm Russ offers a whopping $266 it's surprising I haven't seen a post stating SOLD to Lightman, you must be having second thoughts. Take care Tonyb.

Glad to see your sense of humor isn't lacking pal. lol

Tell you guys what, I'll lower the price on the speaks one time and one time only. If they don't sell, I'll keep them and figure something else out because I'll never be able to replace them down the road for what I'll sell them for.

1600. ....Someone in Illinois must want these for the price of Polk's.

I want them, I just cannot afford them right now + I have no idea what the new apartment in St. Louis is going to measure (these may be overkill). GLWTS Tony. Someone out there is going to be very happy with these, especially at that price.

  • Thanks for the advice Tony. First of all, I am sorry to hear about all the issues you have been dealing with these days. I was wondering the dimensions of your room, it seems that the speakers are indeed very good, but they need some space due to the amount of bass they produce, I am building a 2 channel system and would like to make sure the speakers can work in my room. Thanks in advance!

The room I have them in is about 26 ft. by 24 ft. To be up front though, Tophatjohnny has been in discussion with me about these for awhile so he has first crack at them. Should he pass, your next in line.
