I have a Cerwin Vega Sub-150 that I bought used with a bad amp. I am using it with a Dayton SA240 plate amp that I ran the connection wires thru one of the ports to keep it sealed. It sounds good to me but I've never heard it with the original amp. So I'm wondering if I should rework the case to fit the Dayton or have the C-V amp repaired. Is there a noticeable difference between the two? Also, are there any tweaks you would recommend? Thanks

hi i don't no the specific sub your asking about. but I've done some rebuilding and customizing cabinets (speakers and other kinds) and woodwork / electronics since the early 80. regardless. i wouldn't start cutting anything yet. once you do your stuck! i have a few suggestions
