no left channel output on my turntable...

I have tried another source and swapped the Analysis Plus tonearm cables at the Pass Labs X1 and the signal swaps to the other speaker. I am thinking issue is within the tonearm or the cartridge, neither of which have given me any issues. Any ideas before I start taking things apart?

swapped leads to the cartridge and the sound stayed with the right speaker, and no output on the left... looks to be a wiring issue within the arm, would that be correct?
