As I'm sitting at my desk working I get a random text from someone I don't know. its justa picture of a Polk SDA CRS. I ask who it is. The guy tells me he saw one of my adds for my SRS for sale. He said he thought I might be interested. I said sure, how much? He states he can deliver them to me for $50.00 All the drivers are in good shape but one of tha cabinets has the vaneer peeling up.
So I hit the ATM and am waiting on him to bring them to my work. I cant go wrong for $50 right? These have the two tweeters in each not the single.
I almost thought someone was messing with me.

Post a pic if you live to do so.

I know right! 8 did not ask yet but im sure the cross cable will be missing.

Man you got robbed lol
Nice score man. That stuff never happens to me -
Just loaded them into the car. No crosscable.
One is rough.
Anyone know how i might go about makeing one a center channel for HT? -
It's called the SDA cable or interconnect cable, not crosscable.
Hook it up as is. The SDA tweeter will not play (a good thing) and the SDA driver will produce sound below 150Hz.Political Correctness'.........defined

Ok thanks. Since I don't have the crosscable, I will take the SDA tweeters out and use them temporarily in my RTA12B and seal off the hole for the CRS. Should make a better center channel then my current Polk RM7500C. I always thought the vocals were muddy on the RM7500 center. It sure is pretty though in Piano black.

Jesse, if that's the case, won't that muddy up male vocals in the lower registers? Please excuse my ignorance as I haven't had the chance to hook up my pair of CRS (identical to the above) to confirm for myself. -

Actually, on the 84' CRS, neither the dimensional tweeters or woofers will play with the cable connected. The 2nd generation doesn't have the sub-bass drive circuit.Home Theater/2 Channel:

just unhook the tweeter or take out the fuse if you have one... which I think it should. -

Whose turn is it to watch you, anyway?!?
[snatches laptop, throws through window]I disabled signatures. -
Some of you were right. I hooked ot up without the crosscable as a center channel and only one driver and tweeter work. It still sounds better than rm7500 center. Vocals are crisp and clear.
-
I certainly wouldn't call it a vacation. I went down a similar path twice this past year and can promise you neither were a vacation. -

Some of you may have seen my WTB post for a single RTA11tl crossover. I am thinking about replacing the crs xover with a 11t. I figured it was the closest Polk for the driver complement with a radiator. Ill remove one tweeter and just hook ot up as a 11t to use as a center channel for now. I did not get the crosslink cable with them and one cabs vaneer is in rough shape. Figure down the road ill restore them but for now it would make a nice center with the 11t xover.
What do you guys think? -
Monitor 10, or RTA-11 crossover will work.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Hard to impart extreme sarcasm with just Emojis,
Sorry. I still think any by-pass surgery is nothing to joke about.
