Good to hear, continue taking care though.

That's great to hear Dave, wishing you a full recovery.

To anyone that's not through this, two things. One, it hurts like a ****! Richard Pryor once said he'd been shot and he'd been on fire but neither hurt as much as his heart stopping. And second, you're more worried about your family than you are yourself.
The driving a car after is weird but true. You feel kinda drunk and mixed up. My dr. wouldn't let me drive for six weeks after and it was still unsafe. This past week was my one year anniversary from the surgery and finally got the OK to do anything I want except ride a motorcycle or a bicycle that actually goes somewhere. He also said no rodeo stuff but that would never be an issue with me. Sitting on a pissed off animal has never been a desire of mine. But since I'm a motorcycle mechanic and have been into bicycles for the last 40 years the other restrictions kind of suck. Rehab also sucks but that's another story.
I hope Dave takes it easy and doesn't try to get back to his normal daily work too quickly. And takes all those drugs he's been told to take. Hopefully he can get back to normal in a couple of years. -

I couldn't have asked for a better meeting with my new Cardiologist last week. I was given an excellent report and prognosis. All my tests results were great, especially the Echo Cardiogram which showed a normal functioning heart, normal wall thickness, valve function and Ejection Factor. Just wondering man....how they measured that "Ejection factor". My mind is in the gutter early today.
All kidding aside, glad to see your doing well. Did they put you on some dietary restrictions ? I know you have your meds lined up, thinking wtf is all this crap for anyway. Don't try and do too much too soon, slow process to work your way back up.HT SYSTEM-

Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery, Dave. Things like this tend to make one prioritize things a little differently.
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

Are you going for quantity of life or quality of life? Why try to live to 100 if you're going to be miserable every day? I'm going to take my dozen or so meds every day and try to stay mobile but I'm not going to deprive myself of everything I might enjoy in life to maybe live a little longer.
Pete Townsend knew what he was talking about when he wrote "I hope I die before I get old". -

Townshend was pretty much a teenager when he wrote that. Bet he's changed his tune now that he's old. -

Great to hear! Can you use a salt substitute? They were fairly easy to get used to for me(not that I needed them but my Dad did). Helped to make rather bland foods a little tastier.Yep, my name really is Bob.

I can get used to no salt, I've done it in the past. The substitutes just don't do it for me.

He's got too much money in the bank and hasn't completed his guitar collection yet.
