I'll tell you why I'm asking anon
Can you rekkid playing folks suggest or recommend good quality "universal" style headshells -- i.e., the traditional four-pin bayonet mount "SME style" headshells commonly used for the traditional Japanese "S" shaped tonearms?
Specific vendor recommendations are also greatly appreciated.
I am one of those old-fashioned fogies who would rather not buy from some shadowy eBAY vendor whose mailing address is a PO Box in Outer Higgeldypiggeldystan, you know?
Thanks!!

PS "Reasonably priced" is good, too!

That's the same one I bought awhile back. May depend on what cart you're using re: weight

Yes it should fit.
Weight is manageable
It'd be nice to have something that'd let me get the cartridge a little further forward than the (one) head I've tried so far.
The arm is an A-T (not that I am sure which one).

This Sony is good.
Listening to Ms Ronstadt now and it's 1977 all over again -- in a good way.

It's not junk.
My friend Alan & I set it up yesterday -- we were both surprised (his word, "amazed") by how dead quiet it was. I thought the SL-2Q was quiet. This beast is in another league.
