If they sound good, aren't rubbing, I'd leave them be. There is a way to re-flow the coating Polk used, but I can't guarantee the results, or be held responsible if they're ruined.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Ok, thanks. They sound ok to me, definitely not rubbing.

Looks shiny all over.Political Correctness'.........defined

Looks shiny all over.
I don't think it's as obvious in the pics. Like from the 3 and 9 o'clock position down it's duller (matte) and no tack. The upper half has more of the gloss and the stick factor.

Congrats on the 10a! Awesome speakers.
The older MWs seem to have more of a propensity to be dull - I've had many come across my bench - no big deal. I've observed that most of the older woofers with fuzzy dust caps are dull, and most of the newer ones with non-fuzzy, almost see-through dust caps are more shiny. The later MWs seem to have a propensity to be shiny but start to dull down quick with the wrong cleaning agent applied.
If you were super worried about it, a coat of gloss clear might shine em up, but also add some mass to the cone so I don't know if I'd recommend it. Or maybe you could try some buffing compound? Probably best to leave them alone.my 3.1TLs
