Ther're a couple in my basement
The thing I hate about them -- they take up more space folded up than open! Plus, the fabric wears after a while and eventually the bottoms rip open when sat upon.
Other than that, they're great, I suppose.

I had one of these originals for years. And why I gave it away as a gift is something I've been regretting for a long time. It's value back then was about 750.00.

I currently use an Eames chair, along with matching foot rest, and consider it one of my rig's components. When I got it, my wife got the idea that it was going in the living room. I had to hold my ground to convince her to let me take it down into my "listening room". They are a nice example of mid-century modern furniture. Now I couldn't imagine listening without it.

LOL. I was visiting a friend in Galveston and we went to a restaurant/bar on a pier, and a fat couple came in. The guy sat in one of those chairs and it ripped under his weight. Fortunately, the pier didn't collapse when he hit the floor.

A few years back I had to spring for a good one for my office. I started with a Herman Miller Aeron chair. Lots of good reviews. When I got it home, I sat in it for 15 minutes and my legs were numb for three days.
Turns out that this is a known problem. There is even a website called "Aeron chair sucks.com". Most of their users are happy campers but for the percentage that can't tolerate them, they REALLY can't tolerate them. I turned out to be one of them.
I called Herman Miller and they confirmed that I had adjusted it correctly. Then they said " our chair does affect some people that way". Then to top it off, they refused to take it back....but they offered this wonderful advice; " you can try another model of our chairs!"
No thanks. Fortunately, after some wrangling with the store where I purchased it from, they did take it back.
I ended up finding a Human Touch Perfect Chair PC-420 store and got this great chair! Not inexpensive...about the same as the Arron chair...but more adjustable, more Comfortable, and no problems.
