Wow, anyone see this yet? It's just as good as the first one with a higher body count. A work out for your HT rig the wife even enjoyed it. If you liked the first one get this, from the way it ended a 3rd should be in the works.

I picked this up on Blu Ray and watched it a couple nights ago. Freakin AWESOME movie!

Sound and picture quality are top notch. If you have an Atmos enabled system, grab it. Me, I have a 7.1 system, so it reverts to Dolby TrueHD 7.1 and is a blast!

They really amp up the action in this one over the first. Keanu Reeves' weapons training with Taran Butler really pays off in the movie. BTW, when he visits the weapons "Bartender" in the movie, everything he chooses was custom made by Taran Butler for Reeves part in the movie.
    No excuses!

Today when I came home from work the wife asked me if they are going to make a third one and later tonight we are going to watch it again. Reference Material for showing off what a good HT rig is capable of. I liked the Jason Bourne series but the Wick series is a hoot, and I anxesily await the 3rd installment.

Worst movie in the whole world, aimed at 15 year olds intellect. At the start its just awful with the fight scene in the garage as you can tell he is having a hard time with the choreography, looks like a grandpa fighting with a lack of knee cartilage. I could not even watch it past that.

Which of his movies are deep anyway ? Yeah, it's a bang-bang, kill as many as you can type of action movie. He has little dialogue, and the focus is on the action.

Entertaining ? Yeah, but it's not going to win any awards.

I saw them both. I thought the first one was great. The 2nd one starts out a little weaker but gets better later on and definitely ends setting up the 3rd sequel.

Both were good if you like a lot of action but I liked the 1st one better than the 2nd.

I'll definitely be watching the third one when it comes out.

Watched it with the wife tonight. I like the whole "world" they created, the weapons ****, realistic shooting/reloading, mixed martial arts and a bit of humor thrown in. He did a lot of training for this film.

It is nice to know that, short of a nuke going off, 10,000 bullets shot at the good guy will never hit him. But even if they tried to nuke Mr. Wick, he would simply "duck and cover" and emerge unscathed from his foxhole. Even if a 1,000 knife and sword wielding infidels attempt to do harm to Mr. Wick, all he will ever get is a close shave. But he will do much more than shave his enemies. Oh, the tension and the drama that one must endure in these kind of movies!

Yeah its definitely a non thinking mans film, as are most action movies. Nothing new in the genre but the visuals and sound are worth giving your home theatre a workout plus you know the outcome anyways. A great film for those that are easily amused, those that are not probably wouldn't watch this anyways.

A little less "plot" than the first one, but that doesn't get in the way of the action! For those of you with UHD/4K setups, this is easily goes straight into the "top 5" for video quality. The "mirrors" sequence is demo material.

This was a decent action flick, but I made the mistake of watching this after the Ip Man movies, and the fight scenes in this one feel really slow and overly choreographed in comparison. I know it's not intended to be a martial arts flick, which is why I said "I" made the mistake in watching this after those other films, but you can't watch a real martial arts flick followed by this and be satisfied with the fighting...which is a big part of this movie.

Nothing new in the genre but the visuals and sound are worth giving your home theatre a workout plus you know the outcome anyways. A great film for those that are easily amused, those that are not probably wouldn't watch this anyways.

When the characters in films actually make decisions and think, all often is not well. Some movies with people that are less than "bullet proof" leave me scratching my head at the blunders they make. A classic example is the movie Prometheus. The explorers in that film never seemed to make a common sense good decision and had an ability to disregard their orders and standard operating procedures at the drop of a hat (or their space suit helmets). They went on a boy scout jamboree to a distant world alien haunted house. The characters that oppose Wick are simply clay pigeons that will soon get blown away. Many people seem to be more impressed with the audio sound track that the weak movie it supports. The last Mad Max movie has a great sound track and I enjoy blowing out my stereo with it. Spotify has the extended version.

John Wick plays the "last dude you'll ever mess with" character. As in Jim Croce's "You Don't Mess Around With Jim:"

"You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with" John Wick

    Uh if you say so.

I recently saw the first John Wick on cable TV. It reminded me of a Steven Seagal body bag movie where it was Steven verses a hundred enemies that he dispatched in short order - very predicable, very redundant, very little drama and suspense. I'll save my money and time and pass on John Wick II.

To the best of my knowledge, John Wick is billed as neither a drama nor suspense film - It is an action film. I would be curious to get your opinion on a good action film or two...?

I found one particular aspect of John Wick masterful - within the first 10 minutes of the film, they gave you a perfect picture of who he was, and they had you totally bought in on his side, albeit by killing a puppy;-)

Kinda wondering if some folks paid full attention to the movie, with regard to being "Bullet Proof." Did y'all see the part where he ordered dress suits that came lined with bullet proof material? Ya know, the whole sequence where he went shopping at the tailor and the "bartender?" The pants and jacket were lined with this. Thats why he held the jacket up at times and ducked behind it. He got hit plenty of times.

The story is pretty simple. He wanted to retire and get out. They gave him the impossible task, he did it, they allowed him out and said don't return or there will be a huge price to pay.

I loved the first two and can't wait for #3.
    No excuses!
