I'm working on my latest acquisition, 3.1 TL's. Took the speakers out to doe the Locktite application and found they all have a fair amount of dirty dust on the lower half of the cone surface.
I tried to use a vacuum with a bristle brush it's not doing a very vood job of getting it out. I'm hesitant using any spray on cleaner like Windex. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
When i get this restoration and mad mod job is done I'd like to be able to show these puppies of in all of their glory!

"Nice speakers. First things first. Clean soft cotton rags and a bottle of original Windex. Use that to clean the cabinets. Use the same to clean the drivers and PR's by spraying the Windex on a clean rag and wiping in a circlular motion. As they are really dirty change rags until no more dirt comes off. The mid-driver has a sticky surface, do not try to remove2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures

Original Windex works great. ^^^^^100% agree.

Real Windex, and lint-free micro-fiber cloths. I buy the 12 pack. Always keep the cone wet until the cloth is clean.Home Theater/2 Channel:
