Repair PSW10 sub after lightning strike

PSW10 sub won't come on at all after lightning strike. Is it likely to need a new amp? If so, is that an easy DIY repair? Cost?

Hello and welcome to Club Polk. Sorry to hear of this happening, I have experienced the loss of gear by a lightning strike before so I know all too well exactly how you feel.

To answer your question, you will most likely have to replace the plate amp. If you do, it is an easy DIY swap. As for the cost, I would call Polk Customer Service during normal business hours, tell them you are a Club Polk member for a discount and they can provide you with the cost.

The only thing I would do is check to see if the fuse was blown. If it was, try to revive it by replacing the fuse. If it does power up after that but does not come on, I would just replace the plate amp or the sub itself.

I hope this helps and good luck!
