I remember when being punished as a child, you'd go to your room, and say stupid stuff along the lines of "i wish my mother fell off a cliff" or "i hope a bear mauls you dad". *with a hyperventilating voice*

Never did i ever try to put my mother in jail for 9months. That's a little harsh :D

If my dad had overheard me saying anything disparaging about my mom, he would have pushed me off of a cliff or gone out, rented a bear, and had it maul me.
..... there may have been some difficulty in renting a bear, so it probably would have been the cliff-toss thing. :)

And that's the way it oughta be.

NOTE: it would have been a friendly bear, though.

Is there a business opportunity in rent-a-bears?

I may have some resources available...

I think beatings need to come back. Kids these days are so damn soft.
I didn't have to use that on my children as they never did anything to deserve it but I'm not against it. I grew up beatings first questions after the beatings where finished and I turned out just fine.
Taking a phone away as punishment actually is a excellent move. Kids live on their phones so taking that is pretty harsh in their opinion. I know my kids damn near lost their minds when I used this. They didn't do what they lost their phone over ever again.

Changing the wifi password comes in handy at my house

Then they have to get back in line to get the new one...

I simple illustration of how entitled the younger generations feel, but....not like we didn't know that already. Regardless, this is likely to dive straight down into the barrel of politics and should be closed.

Not a biggie, appreciate the effort. Only thing is politics is frowned on by management, so probably best to avoid anything that will stumble into it.
