Polk Magnifi One sleeping

Hi,
My soundbar turns itself off while listening to music at low volume. I guess the sound sensors are not sensitive enough they 'feel' the unit is off at low volumes. This is so annoying as the device is unusable for background music.
Is there any workaround for this?

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. I don't believe the problem is related to the playing level of the soundbar, but rather the level of the input signal. Try raising the level of the signal coming into the bar and then reducing the bar's volume until you have what you're wanting.

Thank you! how do I raise the signal? I'm playing from an iPhone 7 with Spotify. My phone volume is at max.

You may need an amplifier to raise the level of the output, I don't have much experience with using a smart phone as a music source, unfortunately. Maybe another member can offer a suggestion?

Have a look at this or similar headphone amps. It might get the signal up to where the Magnfi won't go into sleep mode. My son uses one for his high impedance headphones when he's out and about. -
Thanks for all the replies. Bottom line is the Bluetooth reception function on this polk model doesn't work. I've tried everything. I've had many Bluetooth recievers over the years and never seen this before. The solution, if you can't return your polk like me, buy a Bluetooth reciever ($10 to $20) and connect it to AUX. This did the trick for me since I had no use for AUX.
