Dynaudio Excite Speakers - Rosewood Dark Satin

Dynaudio Excite X14 bookshelf speakers $700

One tweeter has dimples but the sound reproduction is not affected. Both cabinets have some scuffs. Not noticeable from your listening position. Big sound from a small bookshelf/mini monitor. The Excite series is a step up from the Emit (base) series. These feature magnetic grills as well.

Dynaudio X24 center channel speaker $500

Some small scuffs on the back of the right side toward the bottom. Definitely not visible from the listening position or unless you're looking for it. Includes built-in, removable, base. All driver in perfect condition. Magnetic grill. Don't let the size fool you on any of these speakers, they produce big sound.

lol Josh! Remember, these are smaller than the Emit M20 and they don't put out as much bass as the bigger speakers. Of course, my friend, you are welcome to purchase these as well and compare for yourself! :)

Thanks for the well wishes man, I appreciate it!

Due to the larger woofer and the correspondingly larger cabinet, the M20 digs deeper/puts out more bass. However, their specs (from Dynaudio = frequency response of 50Hz-23kHz). If you read any of the reviews, most agree that the speakers play deeper than their rated FR.

The high notes and midrange are slightly better on the Excite series. The tweeter is a step up from the Emit series (it's also a step up from the previous Excite X12 bookshelf speaker that it replaced) as is the woofer. You also get the real wood veneer cabinets in the Excite line. For their size, they are very surprising (all in good ways).

The sound you'll get also depends on the acoustics of your room and all of the related equipment. Sorry for the generalized answer but you won't know how they sound to you until they're hooked up to your equipment in your listening room.

Wider and deeper soundstage. Better detail. Better imaging. It's not a huge difference between the two models but you aren't comparing apples to apples because one speaker is larger than the other.

    Maaaaan, those are nice, Victor.

Hey, looks like you got some stray strings there at the sides of the tweeter. I've got some sharp skizzors and will be by shortly to clean those up for you. Don't mention it, that's what friends are for.

Nosir, those wires are the secret of the sound quality! All of the Dynaudio speakers have them there. Thanks for the offer of assistance!

lol! Nosir. While I am a member of the microbiology club, and SACNAS, I'm a Health Sciences major at DePaul University with a concentration in Public Health and a double minor in Soiology and Psychology. Not really a "hard" science or a typical STEM field but I've taken my share of STEM classes.

Somebody buy these and experience Dynaudio for the first time. Awesome speakers. Great bass, smooth as silk treble, and a slightly recessed midrange.
