Ok so we all know it's basically Impossible to get a good demo right?

In the very near future like a month or so you all will have the ability to listen to the Lsi's on better gear.

There coming to a Hi fi dealer near most if not all of you....

I'm so juiced

I saw Tweeter was dropping Vienna so I was wondering what they would be picking up. That's cool.

I think the demo rooms at Tweeter, while better than CC/BB, aren't all that much to write home about and the selection of gear isn't all that either. You got, for separates, B&K and B&K from what I've seen.

Agreed, and I don't even think they have Kimber or Transparent cables to get their match on. (Sorry, I puked beer on my flavor-o-the-month chart, so I cant tell which one matches best)

Mantis you must be from the eastern part of the state. I checked for the nearest tweeters. The closest one is 182mi in Harisburg. I really want to demo the 15's. The only store in town only has 25's. And the **** had the nerve to tell me"Those are out of your price range and if you listen to them you will only want them."
Hell of a salesmen. Huh. The guy was probaly right but a snob all the same. Anyway I am still debating 9' vs 15's for my mains. it is even harder to make a decision w/o demoing the 15's. When is polk going to replace the Lsi series? Will that lower the pricing on them?Last but not least. Why is there a Tweeters link at the bottom of A CC web page?

    polkatese,
I believe thats a rumor.I haven't heard any news that we are dropping B&K.If we do drop them,it will only make room for higher end gear.

B&K has done well with us over the last 4 years. We dropped Adcom to pick up B&K.

On a side note I would love to see Rotel in Tweeter but I don't think thats ever going to happen.Bryston would be another good choice. There are so many.

With having Martin Logan,I would love to see MacIntosh as I feel they mate really well together.

    fireshoes,
could you post a link to that forums thead??

    paymontana,
I'm so far east that I'm only 4 minutes from New Jersey.I'm right outside of Philadelphia.Just north.

Lsi 15's or lsi9's for mains, well I own both and I perfer the Lsi15's.They both sound fantastic,it's going to come down to a personal choice here.Tweeter will be carring Lsi series, they are on there way, along with other polk products. It's been since 1996 when Polk was last with us.I'm glad to see them come home again.

Now we have 2 products we carried in the past back,Velodyne and Polk....wonder if we will see Kef again....that would be cool.

    Dan

Russ and Troy.....negitive as usual....no time for that.

I wonder where some of those dudes are getting there Info?

The truth behind Boston getting out is somewhat true.We are only going to carry there inwalls and car audio products.Thats fine as Boston does well inthose areas.

I 'm gonna find out about the B&K thing. If that be true then we should be blowing them out hince perfect time to upgrade.

Sound Advice is ours. They will not be dropping Krell. Not that I heard. The Monitor audio series should go nation wide.Excellent line for killer price. This would be a very nice benefit to our entire company.

Dan, this is great news! How soon will they be in Tweeter stores?

Why don't you think Rotel will ever come to Tweeter? And is there anything that the consumer can do to get it to happen?

To have all of my favorite brands in one store would be heaven. I just might have to give serious consideration to upgrading my Polk RTA-8T's.

If I do, how much could I ask for them?
Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

    negative?

Just because I don't happen to think that Tweeters demo rooms are all that? The speakers are usually all out of whack from people fiddling with them, the rooms themselves leave a lot to be desired plus people coming in and out, back and forth.....so what?

As for the only choice of 2channel gear being B&K, well, it's the truth. I'm thinking hard and the only amp that I've seen in tweeter is a B&K. Period.

    TroyD,
the only replies negitive are yours and Russ.

Personally Troy I don't think our demo rooms are all that,There ok at best.Alot better then most.We do what we can with the space we have.We sell alot of stuff and need to make the best out of it.We all perfer we have a couple more demo rooms per store. It would be awesome.Over at Soundex we had 24 rooms. The entire store was devoted to the Demo. You have only 1 system in each room so you could hear it perfectly. That was a killer store.

Wire is something I wish we would carry more of.Even just to have 2 to 3 different brands would be cool.Having just one brand is very lame.Personally I don't care for Monster in my system anymore. My gear,Monster doesn't do it justice.I have moved on hince the new wire sales.I have to get all Monster out of my system as to make room for all my new wire.

Face it dude 2 channel is a thing of the past.Sad but very true.I worked for 2 different audio and video companies and the dominate force is home theater. As Soundex we sold about 80% all theater and multiroom products.Just the facts and they where based off a high end 2 channel store. They converted alot of there demo 2 channel rooms into full home theater demo rooms.Just the way of things.

As far as Tweeter goes it depends on where you live.We also carry Krell. In the future we will be carring more seperates.I don't know what they will be but things are coming down the pike.I can keep everyone informed as I can.
Getting Lsi or Polk for that matter is a very positive thing for both parties. We will sell alot of Lsi as CC can't sell any. They can't even sell there higher end models of rt for that matter.Shame but thats just not there market.Ours goes way further. Our average customer lives in a Toll Brothers house and drives a BMW.Again just the way of things.CC has it's place in the market as do we.
I am very Proud to have Polk back personally. We are vamping our lines and it's just another positive for us.

    polkatese,
I think the Lsi15's will do well against the Sonus Fabers.I'm looking forward to doing alot of vs demo's.I can't wait.

    cfrizz,
As far as I know at the end of April or the first part of May.They are already in our computer system.

I have high hopes for the Lsi's success....,
    Amen to that!

IMO, poor to average showrooms are way better than NO showrooms...which is about what we have now.

Just because I don't think that Tweeter's demo rooms aren't stellar or thier selecton of gear is limited, it's negative? Jeeze, you'd think I was badmouthing the Peace Corps.

Soundex sounds nice but we aren't talking about them are we?

I'd disagree that 2ch is a thing of the past. The fact is, the number of homes that have a surround sound setup is a small percentage. The fastest growing segment of recorded music sales are LP's. Whatcha think about that? Take a look at ebay, audiogon and so forth. Sales of 2ch gear is outrageous. I think that manufacturers are neglecting, to thier detriment, the 2ch market. Be that as it may, 2 ch is FAR from a think of the past.

    TroyD,
as as you must. It's fine. But as another member stated poor to average showrooms are much better then none.

As far as 2 channel,it's dead dude.No one comes in anymore for just 2 channel. It's just the way of things.DVD is the biggest media.2 channel lives with us who still hold it dear to our hearts.I love 2 channel but thats not what drives the market.

home theater is becoming a standard in the homes. Most people have it.Soon every home or close to it will have some soft of surround system to watch tv.Most people also use the same system to enjoy music but not in 2 channel but surround of 5 to 7 channel stereo.Again just the way the market is right now and into the future.

    smglbrth,
B&K was devloping a higher end seperate system with outboard power supply. We haven't seen it yeatI don't think it's finished.

Ah, but that's NOT the rationale you and others have used to rip CC and BB......
As far as 2 channel,it's dead dude.No one comes in anymore for just 2 channel

More aptly put, no one comes in to Tweeter for 2ch. Why? Because the don't have any gear. Recent article in Stereophile talking about a recent CES show tallked about how 2ch gear was more abundant now than it ever has been. Heck, look at this forum, there are a number of 2ch enthusiats and more importantly, NEW 2ch enthusiasts. 2ch is a niche market but high end 2ch always has been really.

I resent that first comment if you are talking about Fredericksburg, I'm from Fredneck.:D As far as there being a Tweeters by, yes sir, in Central Park, off of State Route #3, next door to the Super Wal-mart. As far as the Tweeter's in Fredericksburg carrying the LSi's, the last time I was in there which was just last week, they did not have them or any Polks at that matter.
