This guy's a known spammer. Spoofs the real KenSwag pretty regularly. Ken, you should ban this guy.

Maybe a very concise explanation of the rules of banning is in order? Are warnings even issued anymore? Is the individual's long standing membership and conduct taken into account? Or is it just black and white, no warning, tow the line or be banned?
There has to be some discretion and judgment used on a case by case instance. People aren't perfect and the fact that he never really has anything negative to add over a 10 year span should allow him a little leeway in that a warning certainly would have had the same effect.
Just my .02c that don't really matter.

I apologize in advance if talking about the banning procedure is a ban-able offense. .

"Maybe a very concise explanation of the rules of banning is in order?" There aren't any rules for banning; there are a few easy to understand rules and if a person makes a post that violates one of these rules they can receive a 30 day suspension of forum privileges.
" Are warnings even issued anymore?" A 30 day suspension is a warning, if there's a second violation of the rules by the same person then the suspension is 60 days. Do it a third time and it's indefinitely suspended.
" Is the individual's long standing membership and conduct taken into account? Or is it just black and white?" It could also be argued that a long standing member should already know what the rules are and should be less prone to violating them, correct?
It's very simple, just use a little common sense when you post, follow a few simple rules (which the vast majority do) and you'll never have a problem.

The warning system is in place to ensure that the peace is kept. The offenses are as follows:
1st Offense: A private warning sent via PM
2st Offense: A public warning issued and the closing of the thread
3nd Offense: A 7 Day suspension from posting privileges
4th Offense: A 30 Day suspension from posting privileges
5th Offense: A LIFETIME BAN
The warnings have a one year shelf life. They will expire 1 year from the date of the initial warning.

That's different than the answer Ken gave to my post. He's saying the 30 day ban is the 1st warning (if I'm reading it correctly)

I think we all get it Ken, but sometimes mistakes in judgment are inadvertent and 30 days is a bit harsh for a 1st offense, unless it's clearly so horrible that it warrants a lifetime ban.
I know the rules aren't up for discussion and long term members should know better, but none of us are prefect. A 30 day ban for a long term member for a minor infraction seems unjust.
Anyway, I've stated my piece and I will move on. But maybe you could address the discrepancy between what's posted here on the forum as the procedure vs. what your response to my post is?
If the procedure has changed perhaps the currently posted rules should be updated.

In this instance there have been previous deletions and warnings sent via PM over the years. Depending upon the egregiousness of the offense the intermediate warning steps can be bypassed and the membership permanently revoked (such as the person who posted a bird flipping selfie).
That wasn't the situation, in this case. -
Yer still a big meanie....

Dang, banning someone based on a photo makes me want to see it more than ever now.
