PSW125 humming

Good day. I have a PSW125 that recently started humming. It continues to hum even with the subwoofer (rca) cable removed. I moved to a different part of house with no cable attached and still hums. If I lightly tap the amp at the rear the humming cuts out for a moment. Same with twisting the volume knob. Tried switching between on/auto/standby with same results.
Left it powered off for a few days and same results.
What's up? Suggestions?

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. In all likelihood there's a problem with the volume potentiometer of the bass amplifier. It would be best to telephone Polk's CS department at: 1-800-377-7655 select option 1 (this is assuming you live in the U.S.).
They will need the serial number and the date and place of purchase to be able to help.
Regards, Ken -
Sorry, I should have mentioned I am in Canada.

In that case you would want to contact Polk's Canadian manager Walter Moser at: 1-877-660-6601 or via email to: Walter.Moser@soundunited.com. I'm sure he can help.

They looked after me quite nicely. A new amp is on the way. Thanks Polk (and SoundUnited)
