Hello,
Thanks for using the Forum. When you say, interference, do you mean a greenish or purplish tinting of the upper section of the television set's picture? Or do you mean a fuzzy or distorted picture?
Regards, Ken, Polk -
It is a green color, If I take off the speaker it goes away.

Hello,
Thanks, that is magnetic interference. It would be best to send the center speaker to Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite A, San Diego, CA. 92154. Please include a short note giving us your name, address and a daytime telephone number. We'll determine what is causing the problem.

Hi Ken
I just had this speaker sent to me from Polk Audio as a replacement, Am I now supposed to pay shipping again to send it back?

Hello,
You didn't mention that you had received the speaker from service. Do you mean you had received a speaker component which you installed in your speaker? Or, did you send the complete speaker in for a different problem?
Regards, Ken -
The original speaker was blown, so I phoned Polk and got a new one shipped out. The replacement speaker was the same model # mw4802. I just received it this morning.
All i did was take out the old one and put back in the new one.

Hello,
Thanks for the additional information, it helps me understand what happened. In all likelihood the replacement driver is not magnetically shielded. Either the bucking magnet was not charged properly or the shielding cup is not in place. Please telephone 888-267-5495 and ask to speak to either Gil or Omar and explain what happened, they will quickly send the necessary part.
Regards, Ken -
Thanks Ken
I'll do that right now
