    True. I just wanted to deny myself the possibilty of actually hearing anything better or worse due to the fact that the science of sound is a big pile of sugar tablets the industry feeds us and makes us believe their profit driven propaganda.

    I think maybe all the tall trees are hampering the effect of the sound you are hearing.

    Yes! Mine are due to arrive tomorrow according to the UPS tracker. My wife is getting sick of all the work-in-process sitting around the house.     Mine boxes full of treats came in Thursday, all I can say is WOW!. The rings are perfect and the Dreadnought case is a work of art. Larry you rock!

    Was up until 2:00am Thursday night working on a 3.1tl speaker. Needed some wood trimming due to the seemingly random placement of the interior bracing. The second speaker was drilled Friday night after work and they slipped right in with no interference at all. Got everything back together this morning and have been in bliss all day. The new caps and inductors need a few hundred hours of burn-in but I can already tell the bass is more defined. Ran my daughter out of the living room with some Pink Floyd but she rolled back in when Track 5 started blasting and she was soon singing along to "Mother". No idea where she learned the words, she's 9!

    Next up is one of the 1.2tl's but I just remembered it already has threaded inserts. How do you guys deal with these? Drill the old inserts out or just use the template and drill new holes 5-10 degrees off center rotation?

    Use a hex head bit. The old inserts are threaded and removable. Install the rings the same way you did on the 3.1's.
