Polk Magnifi SoundBar sound intermittently disappears briefly

I recently purchased a MagniFi SoundBar and while it works great, occasionally the sound will disappear for 1-2 seconds. It appears to be random and the optical cable is correctly plugged into the SoundBar and the TV (LG). Any troubleshooting suggestions greatly appreciated

    Does it matter which source your using at the time drop outs occur ? Tv, Blu-ray...etc.

    Check your audio output settings on the TV. Might want to try a different cable too, some cheap optical cables can also have glitches like that.

    The optical cables supplied with these are cheaper than cheap and very susceptible to kinking when pinched or stepped on. That said, there have been some issues with these now and then. If still under warranty, Polk will resolve. Give them a call if the cable seems ok.
