SDA SRS I Need Help???

Ok, So there is a pair of SRS's for sale locally that I am interested in. No pictures or asking price in the ad. I emailed the guy and asked him to send pictures and what he is asking for them. His reply was....."Well a pair of these sold on ebay for $3,000 so give me a reasonable offer:....

At this point I am still in the initial investigation stages. Don't know what version of SRS's and whether they have been upgraded or original. I am just getting the gut feeling though he doesn't know much about the Polk's and are original.

The help I need is I have no idea what the current market is on these. I am just wanting to know what would be a good deal vs. "I wouldn't go higher then XX"....

Also I know there are a wide array of upgrades that can be done, but I am just wanting to know say ballpark, if they are original and the time comes to recap....etc. What would a range one might expect to pay to upgrade them?

    For the original SDA SRS, no more than $1000.00.

    As for upgrades, the sky is the limit.
