Who will win? Lord, i dunno - but I will find out next week. For sure.

Something tells me the M&K is gonna be blank faced in this match up!

I CAN'T WAIT! w00t! 6 months of waiting!

I'm getting the 22hz tune on it as well!

Anyways, I'll bbl, I gotta hand out my phone numbers to the neighbors incase they need to call me and tell me to turn it down! :D

Just got the 25-31PCi delivered last week. Both wife and myself are in aww of this thing!

Did a Demo on 4 subs before ordering this one.
    Sunfire...small, great, fast and clean.
Klipsch KW12...hit low but muddy..seem to lag behind.
    Mirage OM-200...clean, fast and pretty.
Bought SVS to listen...actually with ever intention of sending it back. After a week of fine tuning and enjoying both music and movies...I am keeping this S.O.B! Incredible!
Those of you that own SVS know what I am talking about.

Just call me one happy thumper...err camper.

    Question to Doc, or others...

When you request the 22hz tune, do you just include the request in the comments section? or do I need to email him independently?

Good for ya. It's been a long time comming and will be well worth the wait, as if your dads didn't already clue you in what your in store for. My guess is you will experiance an increadable amount of felt bass in your bedroom  , it'll be like putting a quarter in a motels vibrating bed just run the subs test tone on repeat and fall asleep :D .

    Congrats

Yeah, the SVS gives me an idea. But the SVS is so unmatched with his room. His room is so large...the PC Ultra is maxed out. He really needs another one. It is really hard to tell what it can do...exactly. I get the general idea. (or maybe I am just a flat out bass head)

    We shall see!

My Mom is gonna love this.....LOL

I would never let my girls ( LOL ) have an SVS in their room when they turn 15.. your mom must be great, and tolerable.. of your hobby :)

your dad shoulda got a pb2+ or ultra for what he paid for the pc ultra in that large room...

    Faster,
Hehe, I tired to convince him of that......but Alas.....no luck! lol!

My Mom lets me buy what I want as long as I pay for it. She likes the same kind of music I do, so she dosnt care if the music is loud.

LoL, She is cool, more understanding than my Dad in most respects (definetely in volume!), when I don't play it a 4th as loud as him! lol

Now the neighbors, they dont tolerate half of what she does! lol!

I can't tell you how many posts and hours it took to convince Sid that his (and his dad's) M&K was "questionable" in the bass performance department.

Go back and read some of Sid's old posts from that time frame and have a good laugh. At one time, his Dad fully expected the M&K to crush any SVS in a head-to-head show down.

Oh how the mighty have fallen..................:p Have fun, Sid. Oh....and thanks for growing up a bit over the last two years. That wigger stuff in the early days was really annoying.

Sounds like you ordered it already, but the 22 Hz tune is just an option box description. The vent is 15" long if you really want to be sure, but SVS hasn't missed a request yet AFAIK.

Sid was once a wigger? Happy to hear that this is a past tense description of the lad, nothing more embarrassing for a father than to present his wigger son to his friends. Maybe Sid's dad nipped the wigger in the bud?

    My Dad's room...

Is a room, about 30 feet or so wide, goes from den area, to walk in area -- then it goes into a hallway on the right of that...then to the left of that is a dining room. Then on the opposite side of the room, it opens into the kitchen and another dining room, and from there into another hallway.

All in all, his room comes out 'in the min at 35x35 with 9-12 foot ceilings.

I was once a 12 year old with terrible spelling and grammar with a lazy finger. I guess a tad bit of wigger...LOL

Seems we have alot in common, I was once once 12 with terrible spelling (still is sometimes) and grammer except I had an active finger, if memory serves me I think it was the middle one :D:D .

Your dads room is huge 35x35x9 or 12 geeeees with that he could safely go with 2-PB2+'s or B4. By the pics it doesn't seem that big. I hope he is enjoying it as I'm sure you will.

Yeah, it wouldnt be so big if it didnt open into so many other areas. The bass just gets lost in that room.

The main area is 12 foot, and dips down to 10-9 foot in hallways and such. Friggin huge, but hey...his sub not mine. lol

I can see a blown ultra soon.. when you get a speaker that can't fill a largly huge room, it will be pressed to it's limits and will break... eventually.. But in your case, your pc will work great..

I know what a HT setup sounds with 'enough' bass. he dosnt have 'enough' bass.

But I cant convince him of that...lol

The PCi 22-31 will do nothing but MAN HANDLE my small room....LOL

    10.5x10.5x8

The 22-31 will be like......hehe is this it? lol...

It will probally dig down to 18hz in my small room! LOL!
