Little Emma otherwise known as the 2 year old audiophile has a procedure tomorrow morning at 645am. She has an EGD (scope down the stomach) and will be under anesthesia.

My hope is the whole procedure is uncomplicated and she gets a clean bill of health after the biopsies.

We just got out of the trampoline place and she's a mountain of energy. I love this kid.

We are going to have a quiet night tonight. The system is powered down so we can turn in early.

    When Kylie was 2, she went in for eye surgery. The hardest part was watching the Dr's wheel her away. That and the crazy amounts of throw-up when the anesthesia wore off.

    Good news - the EGD went well, they did not have to intubate her, she was fine on LMA. The scope was good, they saw what they needed to see and on gross examination, all is well. We are just waiting for biopsies.

    We tried our best to get the EGD done today (only done on fridays) as the next available was December 23, which is right before Christmas and I did not want to subject Emma to a procedure before Christmas. I had to overhaul my schedule so I only slept 3 hours in 2 days but I was able to do it with the help of some of my coworkers bailing me on some of my work time.

    Emma just woke up from her long nap, she just ate and although a little wobbly, seems to be in good spirits. She will unveil her speakers tomorrow... she already has claimed one of them to be hers.
