mine are SRS 2 with two blades.Mine are blade pin.
Everything I said earlier was based on your comment that you have the blade/blade "first generation" SRS 2. Therefore not much of it actually applies.
There is no method--official or otherwise--that's been posted for stuffing '198s into the 1C--SRS 2 pin/blade speakers (although I'm going to try it someday.)
OK, now I understand why every doc. I came across was not showing a TL mod. for the SRS 2s that I have. The speakers I have are not TL compatible therefore no need to buy the RDO 198, I need stick some RDO 194s in there and be done with it. I mislead you guys by saying blade blade. My SDA 2b speakers are blade/blade, the SRS 2 speakers are pin/blade. I apologize folks, my error I am still trying to learn. I will say this, while looking at what I had here and reading I did not see where changing that 4.4uF to a 5.8uF would make these TL or anything else. I just could not and still cannot see how it could work as one tweeter is still using the 12uF and the other circuit would be using a slightly higher or lower capacitance capacitor with RDO 198 tweeters. In other words I would still have the same (basically) capacitors and tweeters that are not compatible with the RDO 194 tweeter. Please tell me if I am right or if I have missed the boat altogether. -
You're correct. There is no TL Mod for the SRS-2. The 5.8uf is ADDED across an existing resistor for the few Monitors and SDAs that can be TL'd. It creates a contour network to compensate for the 198.Home Theater/2 Channel:
