I just purchased a set of RTA 12B speakers. The left driver on the left speaker and the right driver on the right speaker sound fuzzy and distorted especially at low volume. I am using a Onkyo TX-RS600 receiver.

1st problem I see, is your AVR is woefully underpowered for those speakers. It does have pre-outs, so a separate power amp can be used to power them properly.
The only place you'll be able to find salvaged, exact replacements for the MW6600X woofers, is eBay. Polk has replacements, but they'll most likely recommend MW6503s.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Double check your connection on the top of the speaker. From the crossover to box.
I was having a similar issue when I got mine. Turned out the previous owner had some how forced the plug in wrong. Once I got the plug in the correct way they have been used more than my sda srs 2. I think these have become my all time favorite speaker.
Also it may not be the drivers even if the plugs are correct. You may have bad caps? -
The thumb grip on the plugs should be front left to right on the speaker and not forward to back.

12/6/16 Update!
I checked the drivers by pushing in very gently, the coil makes a scrubbing sound. The magnets have shifted. -

There's a member here that can realign the magnets for you but for the life of me I can't remember their username. I'll do some searching.
Just took a quick search, @lawdogg Shoot him a PM and get the ball rolling, he'll fix you up.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.
