A Visit to Saturday Audio Exchange (Chicago, IL.)

I went to the Saturday Audio Exchange yesterday to pick up a Dynaudio Excite X24 center channel that matches my X14 mini monitor / bookshelf speakers.
The communication I had with Andy before, during , and after the sale was fantastic. The rest of the staff is amazing. They really want to help you to get the most out of your setup. They love to troubleshoot and offer advice. Of course, they welcome you back with questions if things didn't pan out or if you need a little more help.
Honestly, this is the type of place we, as audio enthusiasts, need to support. It's an independent business located in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago. What I like is that they aren't trying to sell me anything, they'll hook up whatever piece of equipment I want to listen to, and there's no pressure. Many years of experience here and if one person doesn't know the answer, they know the member of the staff who does. Good luck finding that at a big box store.
I will definitely be back to the Saturday Audio Exchange. If you live in the Chicagoland area, you really owe it to yourself to check this place out. Supporting local businesses keeps the money local and I do not want to lose this hidden gem in the Lake View neighborhood.
They do repairs here as well so, when my McCormack is in need of freshening up, I will be taking it to the fine folks at the Saturday Audio Exchange

Better quality places with great used audio gear.

I've purchased several things from them over the years and had a great experience. I was wanting to go by there when in Chicago for the series, but, they weren't open those days.
