Very good Lightman! You saved some poor woman a lot of aggravation, and you saved yourself some money from avoiding divorce court! :)

BTW, you look a lot better without all the fuzz, and your eyes are very nice.

Eyes look a little bloodshot to me...

Maybe I was stoned and got tired of the whiskers talking amongst themselves while I tried to sleep. Ponder that, snapperhead.

What do you want with a fiancé for anyway? I have been a widower for 10 years, I am never getting married again.

My ol lady said she would rather me have $5000 speakers and a $200 ring than the other way around!

a new pair of speakers is better than getting a diamond ring?

I will answer this in 2 ways.

    The joking answer:

A new pair of speakers is far better than a diamond ring. Especially those with diamond tweeters.

    The real answer:

The diamond ring is your way of showing her that she means a lot to you. Now that's just my opinion.

As an example, while most people here know that I was a member here years ago with a system prior to this... It was a Cary 306/200, a Cary slp05 preamp, a plinius sa102 amp, and Martin Logan summit speakers.

Most people don't know why I sold it.

I sold it all and I used the money to buy my wife's engagement ring.

And it felt good to me. It was the right thing to do.

But that's me. It's nice to look at my wife's finger and I see my old system compressed into her ring. All that hard work I did scrounging the money and tweaking the system for years... All sold in a week and I bought the ring.

I got lucky. Years later... My wife let me have my system back...

And it's far better than ever before.
