Chirping and pulsating when plugged in

I have a PSW111 that I have had for a few years. We recently moved and now when I plug the power cord into the back I get a chirping and pulsating hum from the unit. What is causing this?

Welcome to Polk's forum. In all likelihood there's a problem with the unit's bass amplifier. Where do you live?

I am having the same issue (just started) with my PSW110 subwoofer I am in Central Texas

I'm afraid the symptoms would indicate the same problem, trouble with the bass amplifier. It would be best to contact Polk's CS department at: 1-800-377-7655 (select option 1) or via email to: polkcs@polkaudio.com, they will want to know the unit's serial number and date and place of purchase. Polk will help resolve the problem.
