- POLK SDA CRS+ ... have 3 of them - use center channel ??
... fortunate to find a single SDA CRS+. Anything I should know to use as a center channel ??
My main CRS+s have the IC. I take it that the center speaker without IC cable does not use the cancelling 6" driver. Do I need to plug cable slot ??...anything else ??

I saw a single CRS for sale and thought about doing something like this, most people I think I read used a monitor 5 or 7 for center.
but why couldn't a person replace the dimensional driver (6511) with another 6510 so it has 2 6510's in it for drivers and maybe a little change to the crossover to make it work? just curious

Don't use the existing SDA crossover, put a Monitor 10 or RTA 11 crossover in it.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Yes. Works perfectly. If you're upgrading the crossovers on the CRS+s, and doing the TL Mod, you'll need to do it to the Monitor 10/RTA-11 as well.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Dave has done this to a CRS for a client who wanted to use it as a center.
CRS+ has 1 6510 & 1 6511 - the Monitor 10 has 2 6510's * for fun I put the CRS crossovers in my m10's and use a 6511 for the outside drivers in each speaker and turn them into SDA and used my sda cable to connect them
so i know if you were to put 2 6510's in the CRS and used the M10's crossover it would work.
they are very much alike except the CRS's has the PR on the back and the Monitor 10's has the PR on the front... some difference in cabinet size and volume but it would work.
