Another day, another newb question. I need a new fuse for a vintage mini monitor but have no idea what I need or where to get it. Apologies if a search could have yielded this information. I couldn't find it.

They also make "Audio Grade" specialty fuses Eli. Not sure if they are worth the extra cost.Home Theater/2 Channel:

While AC power line fuses would be 125/250V, passive speakers could use the 32V fuses from an auto parts store.
Stay away from audiophile fuses. -
Good to know speedskater, I'm just going off what Polk CS told me way back when. Wonder if they are any cheaper? Hard to beat a 5pk for a couple of buck's

The problem is that most packages of fuses are not marked "Fast Blow" or "Slow Blow".
For 1/4" x 1 1/4" fuses, Bussman AGC (glass) or ABC (ceramic) are fast-acting. Bussman GBB are "Very Fast" acting; ceramic, hard-to-find, and expensive.
Bussman MDL (glass) and MDA (ceramic) are slow-acting.
Littelfuse 312 (glass) and 314 (ceramic) are fast acting 1/4 x 1 1/4 fuses. 313 (glass) and 326 (ceramic) are slow-acting.
At the very low amperage used in speaker fuses, there'd be no need for a ceramic fuse. Certain amplifiers need fast-blow fuses of high enough amperage to require ceramics. -
Thank you thank you everybody.
