Value of 1986 SDA SRS 2s ?

Unfortunately, the new house we are moving to, is not working for my Polks. I've updated everything including crossovers, Larry's rings, dynamat, 194s, SDA cable, posts, etc. Cosmetically, 8.5 out of 10.
I know I'm going to take a bath with these, but how does $800 sound?

Bummer that you have to let em go. I think you're about dead-on with your pricing. Obviously they're going to be more valuable to Polkies who know about the upgrades than just someone looking through Craigslist. Of course, not many casual speaker buyers would be interested in a speaker this big anyway.
I'd buy them if I didn't already have them! -
Blade/blade or pin/blade? Nobody ever mentions that when talking about SRS 2s.

Blade/Blade. Aren't all the 1986s that way? Or did they go to Pin/Blade mid year?

I wouldn't take any bets on what Polk manufactured based on a calendar year.
I paid $600 for "virgin" SRS 2 pin/blades just about a year ago. No shipping boxes, decent but probably not exceptional exterior condition. They're in storage, and have been for so long that I've kinda forgotten what cabinet/fabric flaws they may have.

Ok, thanks. I wouldn't take less than $800. Otherwise, I'll just put them in storage.
They sound remarkably better than when I bought them and I'm real happy how they turned out. Thank you again, David !

Just got back form the new place and sadly these speakers will not work. I won't compromise them by putting them too close to side walls. Will list an ad but if any of you guys want them, I 'll let them go for $750 picked up in SE MI. I'll have photos in the ad.

I assume they speakers are at your new place now. How wide is the listening area? You can get them closer to the walls if you can hang some curtains, rug, or some sound deadening on the wall. It surprisingly makes a significant difference. I did some playing around with my 1C's when I first got them.
I am not sure how the SRS2 compares with the 1C, if the greater separation between the MW's creates an even wider sound stage, or requires more space overall. -
No, not yet but I looked at the new place yesterday and it screams mini monitors !
I'm not a fan of a speaker overwhelming a room and that would be the case . Thanks anyway! -
