The bad part of upgrading is that you sometimes have to get rid of gear you love. That is my position now. I have the Usher MD2 on the way so there is no place for my beloved 703's. I'm looking for $850+ shipping unless you're a Polkie which means you'll want to hit me up via pm after showing interest in this thread.
I'm not at home now, but off the top of my head I'll rate them an 8/10. I know the tops have some minor scratching, but I think the sides are basically pristine. I'll update the condition if I get home and find a blemish I'm not aware exists.
If you really want a sweet system, you'll inquire about my Plinius integrated to run with these speakers. They pair really well together.

I heard a pair at guys house who lives just off Blue Mound Road in Saginaw and I've been wanting a pair ever since Once they are set up in my house they won't be leaving.
As Ron has already answered, location is DFW. Not to volunteer anyone, but I know a few out of state folks will be at Skips in Oct. If they have room in their car they might be able to haul them back to somewhere that is more local for you.
la2vegas asked about the scratches via pm, so I'll try to answer for everyone. They are actually more scuffs than scratches. My wife put a couple of small decorations/vases on each speaker and it kind of scuffed each one up a little. I don't want to say you really have to look to see the blemishes, but at the same time you probably won't notice them without actually looking directly at the top of the speaker. How noticeable the scuffs are is very dependent on how the light is hitting them. I tried taking pictures, but was unable to capture the true nature of the scuffs.Post edited by PSOVLSK onThings work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -

@PSOVLSK did you pick up the MD2's from falconcry72? I was hoping they were going to sit another week or two so I could slide in there and snag them. -

Yes, I did. I wanted them sooo bad when he first listed them. I was lucky enough to log on to the forum soon after he said he would ship them. It was pretty much a done deal after that. I'm super excited to get them, but know it's probably going to be next Sunday before I have a chance to play with them.Someone should snag these with that Plinius he also has and get yourself a rocking system for under $2k.

He is already a member. Now he is in an exclusive club you aren't part of.... The multiple speaker Usher club.
That's right, Ron. Take that!!!Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the MD2's.
I've heard Marvin's so my expectations are sky high. I have a feeling I'm going to have to upgrade the equipment upline to meet my expectations. I vividly remember listening to Rogers Waters on Marin's and being in awe of the soundstage and separation. I'm sue my Rotel isn't going to replicate that experience. This purchase is probably going to cost well over the cost of the speakers
I guess I should note that anyone interested in the Pioneeers I recently bought from Jesse may be in luck. I suppose I could sell them and keep the 703.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
