In 2013, Dr. Albert Edge was researching an Alzheimer's drug when he noticed the treatment was regenerating cilia in the human ear (the hairs responsible for hearing). According to The Atlantic, the treatment has been tweaked and is currently undergoing clinical trials on human ears.

Me thinks, every thing Is case by case. I worked at Pear Harbor, a Naval Base. I wore double hearing, and was a Safety Officer, on my exit physical there was some hearing loss. After several years my hearing has returned to normal. I do crank up the volume on the 2.3's and the Lsi9's from time to time not to the ear bleeding volume. So, don't abuse your ears, their the only two you get..
    Some final words,

    you're going to have headaches."

Yep. Crazy elf lady is always saying "You can hear a cymbal placed three feet back from your speakers, but you can't hear me when I'm in the same room?" And a few expletives after.....
    "Go figure" I say back.....
    More expletives from her....

It's called selective hearing loss. Very common in married men.

I've recently read 2 articles talking about 2 different ways that the cilia may be regrown. I too would rather have a cure for tinnitus but I'll take the return of the high freqs in my left ear any day!
