Hat in hand, I have not been an active member here for the last couple of years. Although, I visit the site every week or so I don't post yet alone star a thread discussion.
Anyways, The Kraken is alive and well and I was in NYC a couple of weeks ago to take my wife and daughter to see the musical "Hamilton". We were among the last to see the original cast, Lin Manuel Miranda was awesome and the entire musical was fantastic!!
During my visit I met up with the SRT King himself, Esavinon. Ed was so gracious and took us on a personal tour one evening to see Soho, The Village, Washington Square, etc. We had a terrific time and I would like to show you guys and gals a few photos. Ed is the big guy, I am the old guy and my 19 year old daughter is going to be a freshman in college this Fall. We had an evening snack at Katz Deli ("I'll have what she's having!").
Enjoy some pictures of our visit and many thanks to Ed for being so gracious! You are the King of SRTs!
Carl

H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -

My old stomping grounds, lol.
I've seen pics of Carl before, but never met in person. But I do remember Ed, the nicest guy! Great to see Polkies in the Big Apple. And to Ed, you look "marvelous"!
My daughter is not yet 19 and starting her second year at University (thought I'd go British with that?). Good luck to her, Carl!Currently orbiting Bowie's Blackstar.!
