I guess what I'm noticing is with reading these papers - REL has less of a lag time than all the other subs because of their special input.

Which might be useful in 2ch situations.

I've read that the system REL uses makes them the easiest to integrate into a 2 channel system.
    2 channel:
Bryston 4B3, Bryston BDA3, Cary SLP05, Shanling CDT1000SE with parts conneXion level 2 mods, Nottingham analogue ace space 294, soundsmith Carmen MKii, Zu DL103 MKii, Ortofon MC 20 MKii, Dynavector XX2 MKii, Rogue Audio Ares, Core power technologies balanced power conditioner, Akiko Corelli power conditioner with Akiko Audio HQ power cable, Nordost heimdall 2, Frey 2, interconnects, speaker and power cables, Focal Electra 1028 BE 2, Auralic Aries Femto, Black diamond racing cones, ingress audio level 1 roller blocks, JL Audio E110 with Auralic subdude, Primacoustics room treatments.
    Theater:
Focal Aria 926,905,CC900, SVS PB ultra x2. Pioneer Elite SC85, Oppo BDP93, Panamax M5400PM, Minix neox6, Nordost Blue heaven LS power cables.

That's what my dealer tells me too...

Problem is group delay. Even the fathoms are delayed by approx 9 milliseconds which yields a 10ft positional delay for time alignment (meaning you need to have the sub like a JL audio 10 feet infront of main speakers to correct for the delay).

    That's the big issue

Would a 9 millisecond delay be noticeable though?

Good question. But seems like a 10ft wave launch discrepancy might be. It'll smear the lower frequencies

I am betting that knowing about the 9 millisecond delay may be far more harmful than the actual issue itself...

Maybe. But everything counts. Just like curve cabinets reduce standing waves, just like heavily braced cabinets lower the noise floor.

Just found out the rel is 4ms delay... Fastest response time on the planet.

Tempting but still a little too much for a G1. I think my dealer can do 3500/piece.

No Gotham's here. I was interested in a amp for 280 bucks! I make under six figures. A used Buick LaCrosse or Toyota Avalon(or a cheap lease on a lesser car) less than the price of a single new Gotham will be my next BIG purchase...LOL!

@ rpf65 Thanks for the offer. It looks like he will ship...so I'm good.

Funny this thread should pop up as this weekend I brought home another 18'' sub to match my 18" def tech sub. I also thought I'd go the multiple sub route to but try as I might I could not get away from localization on the 2nd sub. Since lack of bass isn't really an issue in my rig I decided to keep a single sub rig rather than deal with the hassle of properly integrating that 2nd one. Good luck to you in getting those subs to blend properly.

Thanks I'm going to need it. But the beauty is the dealer will take it back if it doesn't work. And right now it already sounds great.

It is, and I wish. I do like my F25.
