Monitor 10b crossover rebuild by DHS Speaker

Wanted to give a shout out to Dave at DHS Speaker, he refurbished the crossovers on my Monitor 10b's. Wow!! Very neat and professional work, great job and I'd recommend him to anyone! He gave some great advice on cabinet sealing, damping and many other issues. I updated to the 198 tweeters and replaced two fairly well destroyed 6503 drivers, the results are amazing, sound is fantastic and Dave tells me they will just get better after 200 hrs of break in for the caps. Very happy customer!
Thanks again Dave!!
If you need help, he's a great resource!!

Hi KirkH, would you happen to have the contact information for DHS speaker. I have a sent of Monitor 7s which I would like to get the crossovers rebuilt and possibly the tweeters replaced.

Super Dave?
Next are you going to tell us his real secret is the use of genuine Saskatchewan seal skin driver and binding post cup gaskets?

Do you rebuild the Monitor 10 crossovers to reflect the changes you made to yours?

Who are you asking? -
Sorry for not making myself clear. I was asking Dave.
If I remember correctly Dave did something with a pair of M10 crossovers to correct an issue caused when placing drivers side by side. I was wondering if the Super Dave mod had become the standard rebuild for these. -
No, not me. I am working with a customer on his original RTA-12s. Unlike the later B & C Version, the originals had no compensation for the outer drivers. If my recommendations bear fruit, the modification would apply to the 10s as well.
More to be revealed.Home Theater/2 Channel:

I'm intrigued, I have known about the side by side problem and figured you just lived with it. Share if these new ideas work! -

My brain damage must be in high gear as I thought there had been a thread about the crossover modifications.
Has any of this been covered Dave?
-
Other than the TL mod for the 10s, I'm not aware of any other crossover modification.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Must be brain damage then. Not the first time.
Maybe I am confusing the build thread for your center channel. You started that with a M10 crossover, correct? -
Yes, but that's a whole different animalHome Theater/2 Channel:
