That's what ya gets for wasting my time, Bob. Now ship the goods on your dime or TonyB will have a "talk" with you on my behalf. Capisce?

    ;)
Good luck buddy. I like my vintage gear as well.

I am sorry if you or anyone else here thinks I wasted your time, not my intention at all. I thought I would enjoy the modern gear better and I was terribly mistaken, no ones fault but my own and at a great loss to me financially. If you guys do not want me to post on here when I get a vintage set up going again please say so, don't want to be where I am not welcome or irritating people. Thanks again for all the help. Bob.

WTF, did you lose your sense of humor when you sold your vintage gear , or did you never have one?

Bob! 80 percent of us here own and still use "vintage" gear. SDA speakers are at least 20 years old. Yet most of us dummies keep using, rebuilding, modifying or in Larry @Toolfan66 case, completely re-engineering them. @mhardy6647 has a Smithsonian Institutes worth of vintage goodies. Many a thread has been posted in buying, trading and rebuilding 50+ year old electronics. @heiney9 won't touch an NOS tube unless it came from a stash of old Soviet missle silo guidance systems.
Look at the folks wanting to get their paws on old Sansui or Marantz receivers. 60 watts per channel my patootie!
Most of us have a soft spot for old iron and steam formed plywood.
You get your vintage on and keep on rockin' it!
    Buck up soldier!
Or Tony and the rest of the Chicago hooligans will verbally abuse you from your front yard.
Keep us posted while on your rapid decent down the rabbit hole.
    Putz.

Motorhead I have a sense of humor, I like it here and the people I have talked with I have no idea where your wtf is coming from. I think your taking my post the wrong way, Russ has always busted my chops and made me laugh really hard at times and I enjoy that that's why I took a liking to him he is a great guy, as I said before in a old post I would love to meet some of you guys. Hey man go check out my post on sound treatments I thought it was pretty funny. This is what I was trying to avoid, the online anger tough guy stuff, I wanted to make sure its ok to still post here even though I want or hopefully soon will have a vintage set up again, that's all I was trying to say. A friend to you all if needed, Bob.

Dangit Bob...do you want rainbows and unicorns frolicking by a glittering stream?
Or do you want a bunch of nerds, dorks, engineers, IT gurus, tradesmen (and women), Doctors of medicine, philosophy and or biology. Ne'er do wells, scalliwags, trolls and their ilk. Audiophiles, music lovers, cable haters, cable lovers, whiskerbiscuits, chefs, bikers, somebody from Mongolia.
Gear is gear, no matter what.
    Stick around.
And @motorhead43026 is a meathead, pay him no mind. :p

This is a nice amp. I've just 'rediscovered' mine along with a Model 2100 pre. Makes for a nice combination along with a pair of Monitor 10's. Authoritative, and pretty smooth sounding with a modest set of cables. Would have loved an opportunity like this when I was first starting out. Took me months to find one of the HCA amps.
    I disabled signatures.

No need for apology, and no pity party here, I and I alone made these choices I thought that it was what I wanted but it was not, the plus side here is I now know what type of sound I like. And am better educated after this so I now can focus on that sound I am after. I have read it on this very site that audio has a learning curve and bumps in the road and I guess no one is exempt from them, how else would we get educated in this great hobby, I do a lot of research and ask a lot of questions too. Motorhead you don't need a sense of humor I am sure you have one, what you would need is a ride home after the mighty Pontiac I had took that 442. LOL.

"The Pontiac I had", vs the 442 I have, I rest my case.

I get it, I sold all my cars, bikes when my kids came along. When the last one left the nest I went out and bought 2 cars within a month. The 442 and 69 Cougar with 35,000 original miles. It is Dad's time now.....lol.
