FS: Energy RC70, RC10, & RC-LCR

I should seriously consider having my head examined in posting these for sale. I cannot find a flaw with these speakers (sonically). Sadly, I have too many pairs of speakers and everyone cannot stay so, these beauties have got to go.

Local pick up is welcome and preferred. You can demo the speakers for yourself in this situation. I have the original boxes for the RC70 floor standing speakers and the RC-LCR center channel. I can purchase a box and some hard foam if you want the RC10 speakers shipped.

The RC-LCR is in excellent condition. I have the grill for this as well. Asking $200

The RC10 has a small ding on the lower right corner of one speaker. No grills. Asking $175

The RC70 has a small tear in the rubber surround on one of the 6 1/2" bass drivers (the upper mid/bass driver) on one of the speakers. This does not affect the sound. The kevlar cones and ribbed surrounds are so stiff that they don't move much - even on Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture SACD with the (real) cannon blasts. I have the grills but there are pulls/snags. I'm pretty sure I still have the foam plugs for the rear ports. Asking $350 for the pair.

These speakers are very easy to drive and the bass response, for all of these, is pretty stellar (it's been said that they punch way above their weight class). I've owned some high end equipment and speakers prior to getting these but these Energy speakers are bringing out details in music that I've never heard before (and they're doing it without being bright or harsh). Very laid back sound signature with detail and slam.

I would love for these to stay in the family folks.

Cash and carry in person / local pick up - PayPal please add 3%. If you want them shipped, give me a little time to get a quote for the actual shipping costs from 60631.

A little bonus for local pick up, you can have the 28" Pangea metal speaker stands for FREE.

Thanks for looking.

I went down to the storage unit today and discovered that I have the original boxes for all of the Energy speakers in this listing. I can ship the bookshelf speakers no problem. I would have to reinforce the factory packing material for the towers if you really want them shipped, so let me know.

    Thanks!

All speakers are all boxed up and ready to go!

Come on folks, give them a good home!

@Rick88 - Yes, the RC-10 are ridiculously impressive speakers. I didn't purchase bookshelf speakers from ELAC, I bought two floorstanding speakers and a center channel.

If anyone's on the fence here I can say, without hesitation, that the RC10s and RC70s are amazing speakers! My son owns the 10's and I own the 70's. The 70's were the ONLY speakers that I've ever heard that I enjoy more than my SDA 2B's. In fact, the SDAs have been dethroned and they'll be leaving me soon. GLWTS.

I see the RC 70 you had on ebay and they are no longer available on June 4th . Did you sell these? I did not see that you had posted that you were putting them on ebay and I would have purchased them. :'(

So here is a update on the RC70C I purchased here. I am currently listening to them in a 2 channel off a Denon 3805 AVR using the Lat 900 speaker cables I purchased from Pearsall001. Well, all the great reviews I saw online had me curious about these. So, bought them, playing them and all I can say is that they exceed my expectations. They are opening up, great bass and detail. They draw me into the music to where I can't stop listening. I use some reference music such as live acoustical Zeppelin and a lot of later Mark Knopfler from like Shangri-La and such. Only because I know it so well how this music sounds on other speakers and I love great guitar. I can say that these speakers for only 40 inches tall and 4 drivers just sound great. Like Halo said they are addicting.. Now playing collective soul and in rock they sound pretty great. I had my doubts since these are made in China. But they are made very well. I now wonder how these would sound in my main rig being driven by my Parasound Halo A51amp and satori cables so I may try it and unhook my ML Aeon's for awhile. This, I guess, is why I have been in this hobby so long to find these un predictive pleasures like this o:)

As I stated in the beginning of the FS thread, I should have my head examined for letting go of these. I am very happy that you are enjoying them Dave!

Yes, give them some time with another level of electronics and see what happens >:)

I honestly thought that the ELAC speakers were an upgrade over these but it just didn't happen for me in my room.

The ELAC speakers are heading back to ELAC America (Let me just say that ELAC CS has been outstanding). I have heard what's possible from the ELAC speakers, I just couldn't extract it from them here so, to me, there's no point in them sticking around. Yes, I put a lot of hours on the UF5 floorstanding speakers. The RC-70s, to me, sounded great right out of the box.

Refresh my memory please, what speakers did you replace with the RC-70s?

Victor, I didn't replace any speaker . I started a two channel with these speakers, the Lat speaker cables and a Denon 3805 AVR I picked up in mint condition for $80 . Everything sounds great. I have had many speakers in the past. Last were Dahlquist 10's with a old vintage Pioneer receiver that I sold last year. They were good but not as good as these. The Dahlquist were too laid back..Decided to go back into a 2 channel to listen to music while on the computer with these. These would go up against my Martin Logans Aeon i's in my main system if I choose to. I may end up selling the Martin Logan Aeon i's and my ML depth sub to downsize a little. I also have a pair of Rti10's that I need to refurbish that I picked up two weeks ago.

I want to publicly thank @dromunds for allowing the RC-LCR to make a round trip back to me when I was not going to stick with the ELAC speakers. He's got some great karma points coming his way!!

    Thanks Don!!!
