Periodically my subwoofer makes a low cracking noise. Usually worse when I turn up the base. Even happens when volume is low.

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. The best place to begin would be Polk's CS department at 1-800-377-7655 have the unit's serial number and date and place of purchase handy when you contact them. They'll get you squared away.
Regards, Ken -
Thanks Ken. I will contact them.

Check for empty potato chip bags inside......

This answer would be great if I was retired but since they only answer the phone between 9 and 5:30 eastern and I have to work during those hours I guess I'll have to live with a subwoofer that sounds like it has a popcorn popper in it.

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. I believe Polk has CS available during the weekend from 10:00am until 6:00pm eastern time zone.
Regards, Ken -
I had called not long before I posted my comment and got a message saying their hours were 9-5:30 Eastern Mon-Fri. It would be great if they were available on weekends. I ended up sending an email request for assistance, but I have not heard anything back beyond the automated reply assigning a case number yet.

I apologize, you are correct in the available hours. I mixed up the hours for the wireless products with the usual CS department.
