Monitor 7C's

My father was wise to buy these 7C's in the mid-80s, and they came to me after his passing. This Spring I made an entertainment center, equipment stand, and what I hope are good new versions of PolkStands. Paired with a superb 1978 Kenwood amplifier from eBay, the LPs have come out of storage, are being cleaned, and it's a retro party!
(I mixed the wood stain to match the "polkaudio" badges' color)

Not sure what those have for tweeters (thinking sl2000) & not sure if you knew this or not. Polk has some "drop in" replacement tweeters for around 52.00 each & the rdo194's sound much better IMO. Should you decide to buy them-tell them your a member & save some $$$..

Thank you all so much. That Polk hosts this forum and supports its old products are good reasons to support them right back. I WILL be ordering the RDO-194 tweeters soon to replace the SL-2000s, and having the crossovers redone after that. If you have a '57 Corvette, you maintain it, right?
And that is indeed a new AT turntable; my plan was to use an old Dual to keep the retro theme, but even with professional help, it kept failing.
It is such a pleasure to have the vinyl playing again (Vivaldi or Country Joe & The Fish -- it's all good).

The RDO-194's will drop right in. Recapping the crossovers is popular and recommended. There is also the option of using the RDO-198 tweeter which is slightly better. The tweeter requires some different caps, and I think changing the small inductor on this model. I just saw the schematic, but I can't find it atm.

The link came from page 10 of a Monitor 10 build by willwilly in the DIY section. He is now building a pair of 7's in the same thread.
