Polk RM 6700 Remote Missing

I picked up a set of Rm 6700's but the remote is missing.. Is there any other option besides buying the $100. remote listed in advanced accessories?

The wires are also missing, can you tell me what is recommended for wire for these?

I am a relative newbie at this...

    Welcome to our newest NW Polkie :)
    I'm not real familiar with the RM series but wouldn't a decent pre-programmed remote work? As far as wires, I assume you're talking speaker wire. If so, the possiblities are endless and mind boggling. There has been many a heated debate on the subject.

    LoL, yeah, speaker wire.. I have read a bit about what many different folks recommend, and .. uhh... I can't afford most of it ;)

    Most of the "pre-programmed" remotes that I have bought over the years require you to enter a code that is determined by the item you wish the remote to control.. I suspect "Polk" is not gonna be on the list that comes with any remote..

    Ermmm....do you mean a DS7200?? The RM6700 is just speakers and would not have a remote.

    you are right, for some reason I had it in my head that this set required a remote.. sigh.. let me cover my deriere again .. :o
