The easiest way to check is to put your ear to each tweeter while music is playing and see if you hear a difference in level. if there is then contact Polk Audio. @KennethSwauger can help you with that. I just name dropped him here so he will see your thread. -
Yes I had done it and found the hissing sound is weaker but present. I also found that the other speaker is producing more distinct and punching sound. But the difference is little and becomes more noticeable during music listening. I changed the speakers left to right and right to left with same result.

So it looks like either the tweeter is the problem or the signal going to it from the crossover.
-
Then what should I do? Did Polk replace anything for this little but irritating difference ?
-
I bought them only a month ago from pro fx Kolkata, India. They said they can replace the tweeter free. But I am not sure where the problem lies. How can it be identified?
-
I think the tweeter is responsible for it. What should I do?

Where will I shoot? The tweeter or the cross over or other two drivers
-
The best approach would be to swap the two tweeters, see if the problem remains in the same speaker or moves to the other speaker.
-
But only a technician should do it. I am a school teacher who loves music. Even I have not a proper tool to to remove the tweeter from the tower.
-
This is what the dealer who sold you the speakers will do. They will have the expertise to remove the tweeter and place it in the other speaker. If this speaker now sounds lower in volume they will know the problem is with the tweeter and will replace it. If the problem remains in the original speaker then they will know the problem is with the speaker's crossover and they will replace it.

I guess i'm a technician then! Just kidding...far from it. I just like to fix things...those things just so happen to be speakers from time to time.
I hope you get the issue resolved at little to no cost so you can keep enjoying some sweet sweet tunes.Just a dude doing dude-ly things
