10b MW6503 Drivers 6.5"

Hi,
I am new to this forum, my partner has a pair of 10bs, which are in need of a little TLC.
I've found a few threads in the forum talking of ordering new drivers from polk, but cannot find any mention on their website? Can anybody help with tracking down 4 new drivers?

Thanks
Steff

Customer Service (Online Orders, Online Returns)
    24 hours a day, 7 days a week:
    1-800-377-POLK (7655) Option 4

They're $48 a piece. Don't forget to trim the rubber around where each screw goes in otherwise you'll twist and possibly rip it as you torque down the screw.

Welcome to the forum. The 10b's are well liked around here. Do you have them on stands ? If you have the sl2000 tweeters Polk also has drop in rdo194 replacement tweeters that sound far better than the sl2000 & for the price you will be very happy if you ever decide to switch them out

We don't have them on stands at the moment, they are actually stood on top of a pair of KEF Q10s ( a fairly unknown English brand). Your comment for the tweeters was well timed, thank you, as my partner just mentioned they could do with being swapped out too...

Must be just in Australia then, nobody ever seems to have heard of them here...but then we are a bit backwards :)

I just ordered a MW-6503, the are backordered and will be shipped May 28. Kudos to Polk Audio, Who provides competent technical support representatives and replacement parts for 30 year old products. . I have three polk audio systems in my home and love each.

Hey chensel3, I could have told you that I got the last ones and they are 52.20 from Polk. I still have 3 brand new available for sale Purchased 3/2016. Check out my post in the FS section. Also the May 28 date is only a guess at best.
  • Just received the new drivers, ordered in May, speakers sounding good as new, almost, just need tweeters now :)

This is a little off topic for this question, but does anybody know the part number, or current part number replacement for the passive radiator, big one down bottom ?

Contact @ER308L he has a pair for sale. Shipping might cost a little bit, otherwise good luck trying to find some down under.
