Match with new amp?

I have a pair of Monitor Series (no series # visible) SL2000 speakers, tested Dec. 22, 1988.
They still sound great!
I need to buy a new amp. Can someone help me identify a good match?
Thanks.

^^ +1 on above ^^ Most all the Polk Monitors i know of are pretty flexible with most amps 100+wpc. Depends on your budget & preference. Is it being used 2channel ? What are you using now ? Not sure if you have already upgraded the tweeters or not. But for cheap money-drop in replacement tweeters are worth the dough... Upgrading the old 20+ y/o crossovers will also be a bonus..

Very nice RTA 12Cs, with real oak veneer. Those are 4 ohm nominal, and need a high current amp, that can handle < 4 ohm loads. Adcom 555, Parasound 1200, Carver TFM-45, just to name a few. I would not use a receiver with those.
Other can chime in with their recommendations.Home Theater/2 Channel:

This BAT looks good since you didn't mention a budget.

Thank you all for all your help. Unfortunately, the amp budget tops out at $500-600.
Any suggestions for something in that price range? -
Westmassguy's suggestions were standard solid suggestions and usually a good bit less than the 500 mark. You could probably find a McCormack DNA in that range if you're patient.
I think the Adcom 555 is a great amp for the money. No problem driving a 4ohm load.
Can usually find deals on NAD amps too. I paid $100 for an NAD 2200PE and it's driving some Model 11s right now with no problem at all. Sounds pretty good too.
