Ok, new speakers I just received from a friend as a gift. Need to figure out how to obtain or construct an interconnect cable... They have the small jack the top is round and the bottom is flat... Was told for the mids to be in phase the cable is 16 gauge and about 20ft... Also new to owning Polks... I hooked them up with out the cable to my Bryston 4b nrb and they sounded great... But reading the reviews of these and also looking on the backs of the speakers there was mention of the cable... Any help is much appreciated....

There are a number of versions of the SDA 1's. I am not an expert on the 1's versions, but there are folks here who are. I think they are 1C's based on the pin blade interconnect. Someone will probably pick up this thread here, but the vintage speakers section is the best place for this, and a good place to start your search. These are also a good reference. http://www.polksda.com/ and http://www.gimpod.com/sda-id.html Pictures of yours will help.
I believe the Bryston 4B nrb is a common ground amp, so the cable is all you need.

1Cs. You can make a temporary interconnect, with a couple of RCA plugs, with the outer sleeve cut off. Use some 12 or 14 gauge wire. Only the pin carries the signal.
For a permanent fix, SpeakON plugs, Sockets, and some good quality speaker wire.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Right on, thank you for the advice.... Looks like SpeakOn and I are going to do a little work... I'm assuming use the 2 pole version for each of the the speaker connections and also the interconnections with 20ft 12 gauge wire?

2 pole plugs, but 4 pole sockets, they're better made. Get the gaskets also.Home Theater/2 Channel:
