Ahh, The Good Rats, a band from my neck 'o the woods. I haven't heard about them in ages, I do know one of the founding Marchello brothers passed away awhile back. I always liked the drum solo on the tune Klash-Ka-Bob (on the Live At Last album), but their popularity never really made it beyond the borders of LI.

I would add Zebra and Lillian Axe to that list, although they both seemed to enjoy a little more commercial success so I'm not sure if they qualify for this thread...

This is a band he was in before he started to get somewhat known.. I think they are fantastic..

They used to have a house/studio near 367 & Chambers Road in Dellwood. Iron bars on the windows/doors which was a good security measure back then.
Wouldn't work now though.

1982 Larry. Per the You Tube page, "Often described as the best song "The Steve Miller Band" never wrote."
Probably why I liked it, was a big Steve Miller Band fan.

Mothers Finest "Baby Love" man baby jane could sing, wish I could have seen either of these.

If anybody would like to find and post these for me, preferably the cuts from the albums and not live versions.

Back in the early 80's or so when The Knack were hitting it big,there was a group from Seattle called The Heats that toured the Pacific Northwest playing every small venue that they could get into..The crowds that came to hear these guys play were huge..they wrote and composed all original material..Power Pop rockers and ballads..expected to hit it real big..but never really took off outside their hometown area..Too bad too..these guys were talented..could really pack the house and would play till they virtually ran out of material and the house would pull the plug on them..
