    I just got off the phone with SMc Audio, and they now have some new, exciting upgrade programs for the DNA-1. If only we knew somebody who had one or two

    I am a helper :) .... they have upgrades similar to mine, but also some limited edition ones involving new toridials which they have a limited number in stock. They a starting to put prices up on the website.

    When I was first looking for an amp, I lusted over this one....

    Not the exact one, but this one has the upgrades and I bet if someone offered this dude 4k, he'd take it. I've only had the pleasure of hearing a standard dna 500 once, but it left such an impression, I wanted it bad. Except....anyone who has one never lets them go, or wants big coin.

    As a side note....since many are now lusting over or have the brand on hand, Steve McCormack himself has said his amps respond very well to upgraded power cords. So if you haven't dipped your toes into that arena yet, may be time.

    I was at a college volleyball conference tournament when this one went up for sale. My phone was charging and I didn't see it till about 5 hours after it went on sale. Was amazed how much action there was on this and how quick it went.
    I've never had the opportunity to listen to one of these amps, however, everything I've heard and read about them is nothing but great. Even at full retail it seems like these are great deals.

    He recommended McCormack to me a few years ago and I gave looked back.
    I first started with a DNA-250 then graduated to the DNA-500 and have been super Happy..
    If I should decide to sell it anytime soon I'll be sure to post here first, lol

    Used three at various times. MIT ZCord, Wireworld Electra 7, and PS Audio PerfectWave AC-5. Sorry, haven't tried anything better - those are approaching my psychological limit and I haven't dared to spend more. Probably preferred the AC-5, but I never really did a comparison.     FWIW I'm using a Signal Cable Magic Power on mine @Vmaxer, I have also used a Pangea. Can't help on the higher end stuff though I thought I had read once that Steve McCormack is a fan of Shunyata... of course, can't find that article anywhere now...

    Signal's Magic power cord is a decent cord, but I think the McCormack can use better. Anything from the camps of Wireworld/Shunyata/ Acoustic zen/Harmonic Tech would certainly add to the amps abilities. Buy used too, don't pay retail for some of these higher end cords.
