Nice, Crash. I'd be interested to read a more detailed write up on your project, with specifics on the components, vendors, build/setup process, and what you're actually using to run it. I've been looking into RPi stuff off and on. I was thinking about going Picoreplayer?I disabled signatures.

Nice collection of info there! I was wondering which touchscreen that was. Thought it was an old tablet at first.
Have you looked into any cases for your RPi?I disabled signatures. -
I'm running the audio-gd Dac off my Pi and use a 256gb usb3 thumb drive.
Lossless flac and controlling it with a cheap tablet.
I've been thinking about the Audiophonics DAC to save space.
The Pi 3 is out now, so it's got some more horsepower than before."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -
Thanks for the info crash.I may try it with Kodi for video streaming.

There is a nice case for this setup that is currently only available from Australia.

They don't currently ship to the US and the back would need to be modded for the RCA jacks. I am currently using a basic stand that works fine.

Crash, I'm just getting into this, and built my first Pi based Squeezeplayer a week ago using piCorePlayer. It's neat stuff. Headless is okay, but I think want to add a touch screen next. Coming back to your thread now that I've had some experience, this all makes more sense now that I've got some context. Good info/links here. It can be a bit overwhelming out there with all the options available to the Pi community, so it's good to know what others have tried and had success with.
What are the different versions of RuneAudio that you've linked? I'll read up some on this. Must be pretty robust at over 700MB...I disabled signatures. -
