New SDA2a speakers, one woofer has weak response

Just picked up a pair of these speakers and they sound great, except that one of the two woofers on the right side isn't, well, woofing. It moves freely with the vibration of the other one, and if I push on it gently it moves. They had a long car ride so I was worried maybe something vibrated off...but I read here the typical symptom of the common glue breaking apart issue is locking the woofer up.
I don't yet have the interconnect cable if that matters, it's on order. Both woofers play in the left speaker though.
Any advice on further diagnosing? I paid top dollar for these so I think I'm in too deep. May need to buy a replacement woofer but I don't know what I'm doing.
Thanks!

It's the rightmost (looking at it from the front).

"On the right speaker, which woofer is it?"
Dimensional if on the right?? Normal.....with no interconnect??.......right Dave? -
That's the dimensional woofer. Without the interconnect cable you won't be getting the inverted signal from the left speaker, however you should be getting bass frequencies below 150 Hz out of it.Home Theater/2 Channel:

it will still woof. The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

Faustin can you explain that? Is it possibly ok and just needs that expensive little cable? Thanks. (Edit-never mind I see now).
It's not woofing though. Any further suggestions? -
It could be a burned out voice coil, or a loose connection. You'll have to pull the woofer and check it.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Woofing? I kind of like it. I mean, I wouldn't use it, but I kind of like it.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Check also that the wires are still connected between the two crossovers under the passive radiator. One of mine fell off soon after getting them and I had to tighten them up as they were pretty loose...Remember, when you're running from something, you're running to something...-me

Sorry I don't know anything about speaker repair. Does this involve unscrewing the little screws around the perimeter of the woofer/passive radiator to get access? Any obvious pitfalls I should avoid? Like say pulling the units out too far and tearing off wires or something?

Yep all that. They should not be soldered directly, should have quick connections. If sda2a then both should be mw6510 if they are different MW numbers get back to us. Be sure to note which wire goes where. -
Ok thanks everyone. I'm gonna wait for the interconnect wire to arrive in a few days and see if maybe that will straighten things out. Upon very close inspection I think I do hear very low tones coming from it. I can't turn it up super loud right now though.
If that doesn't fix it I'll take a bunch of pictures while I'm pulling the woofer out and post them. Thanks so so much for the help and quick replies! -

They already sound great even with this issue. Compared to my old speakers at least.

one more related question for you experts. I have two Marantz MA500 monoblock amplifiers. It's been suggested that I run a wire between the two negative terminals to make them common ground. I messaged Marantz to see what they thought about it and their response was simply "I suggest not to do this". Any thoughts?
-
don't do it ....
-
do it, do it, even though Marantz said not to. Then report back to us once the smoke clears. The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

The interconnect cable arrived but it has a pin and blade instead of two blades. I'm really striking out with these speakers. Anything I can do?
-
Polk still sells the blade/blade SDA cable. CALL them on Monday.
The reason you can't connect the Marantz mono block amps is likely because they are bridged internally.Political Correctness'.........defined
